Alter Ego #1 here, a real collectors item and dated in 1961. The birth of comic fandom in the silver age. Interestingly Jerry Bails credits himself as the creator of the Silver Age Atom. 'I suggested the idea in a letter to Gardner Fox dated August 29 1960 ... ' He clearly was in touch with people at DC because he has information on 'Flash of two worlds' before the story was published. No mention of Marvel, FF#1 wasn't due till November 61. But for me its an interesting perspective to remember that DC already had published 'Flash of two worlds' and had a Secret Origins volume out.
