“You are a happy addition to the ranks of hate!”— What a fantastic line from the tripping backup story at the end of this comic, DR. HORROR. It’s the only one I read in the issue. In a way it reminded me of something a 12 year old boy might concoct during that prime, often peak year of a boy’s obsession with all stories horror. But I don’t mean that in an insulting or condescending way at all. The story is a real marvel, filled with ferocious energy and walloping impact. It’s truly an incredible microcosm of horror ideas and imagination and graced by a speed hungry art that strangles your eyes like an anaconda. I totally loved this and would have on weirdness alone, but it’s got real grasp beyond that. I highly recommend it, especially at this time of year to help get into the spirit(s) of the season.
