| Actually, the IFC top half isn't new either. It's recycled from L.B. Cole's cover art for JUNGLE THRILLS #16 (and just re-appeared on the cover of Craig Yoe's hardcover reprint collection, JUNGLE GIRLS in 2019). There's no doubt that L.B. Cole's covers for Star's Jungle Thrills, Terrors of the Jungle, and Terrifying Tales are some of the greatest jungle genre covers of all time, even though most of the stories in those issues are reprints of old Fox Features jungle stories like Jo-Jo Congo King, Rulah, and Tangi. Well worth having just for the covers if nothing else. |
