Well, THAT was confusing... at first. Until I managed to figure out that pages 38 to 57 of this uploaded scan were reprints of the original stories from JO-JO 23 that came from a copy of Star Publications' TERRORS OF THE JUNGLE #18 -- pages 38-45 reprint the "Rodent Island" story, and pages 48-57 reprint the "Feathered Serpent" story. Both reprints have been re-colored for a somewhat different effect (I leave it to the individual to decide which version is preferable). These things really should be noted on the index card file to avoid confusion. Don't get me wrong, it was nice of the scanner, ae660, to include those alternate versions of the stories. It should just be noted that those aren't from the original scan of JO-JO #23.
