Aldo Von Carl, a peasant from the small village of Brunswold, makes a pact with the Devil. The Devil can have Aldo's soul if he will grant Aldo a wish. Aldo tricks the Devil by wishing for eternal life therefore he will never die and the Devil will not get his soul. Aldo is immortal now and nothing can kill him. However he is captured and executed via beheading. He survives but now is headless. Without hearing, seeing or tasting, Aldo is cursed to roam the land forever as a headless body.
