"Dr. Damon Knight"-- I expect this was written by a colleague of the esteemed science fiction writer, Damon Knight. "Tuckerization," by the way, is the practice of writing real names into one's books. Wilson "Bob" Tucker was fond of the practice, as you might expect. More recently, I've seen the privilege of being a character (usually minor, maybe a red-shirt) in a book or story being auctioned off, with proceeds often going to charity.

More than that, Muffaroo. You could say the beautifully drawn Cure of the Beckoning Mummy is a good example of Damon Knight's 'idiot plot' - the story only works because Dr Knight behaves like an idiot and follows the ghostly presence into the closed chamber - instead of running for the hills screaming like a cheetah on heat.
