Greetings & Salutations! Your friends and neighbors have chosen YOU to serve in the Armed Forces of YOUR nation, soldier! Once upon a time there was a draft(induction) and men got drafted (inducted) and a lucky few were selected by the U.S.Marine Corps, a few by the U.S.Navy and the rest by the U.S.Army where most of them served in the Infantry, they served 2 years instead of the 3 years a volunteer enlistee served. Many funny things did happen at Basic Combat Training, or some called it boot camp, really a marine and navy term! You'll get a kick out of this book, if you find something you just don't understand, ask your father, your uncle or your grandfather, they'll explain it to you! Herbert Booker of Florida
