SynopsisBarnes asks Carter for his daughter Gloria's hand in marriage, he's rebuffed because he's middle-aged and poor. Carter is more interested in a meteorite that he's convinced is made of platinum and he sends Barnes and Dan Hastings to stake a claim. Barnes calls upon Jan Crissman to help him ambush Hastings and steal the ore. Hastings fights both off, and Crissman abandons Barnes and flees. Barnes comes to his senses, and confesses all to Hastings. He even proves his reformation in saving both Hastings, himself and the ship when Hastings falls unconscious after destroying Crissman and his ship.
