| Notes | Despite the signatures by Giordano/Alascia suggesting the image is original, this cover appears to be a direct "swipe" of the Gene Colan cover for Fightin' Marines #11 (January 1953) in the St. John series of the title. The face and helmet of the gunner have been significantly reworked, but the overall composition, the gun itself, and the planes in the background are all clearly borrowed from the Colan original. |
