GCD lists the title for the first story in this August 1947 book as 'Cosmo Cat and the Evil Genie', and the first story's pages 2 through 7 are indeed about an evil genie. The story's first page is on the inside front cover with correct indicia for #8, but it starts a different story titled 'Ants in the Antarctic' and the dialogue on the page mentions ants. GCD has no 'Ants in the Antarctic' story entry at all. Worthpoint currently has an accessible listing (https:www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/all-top-comics-sept-1947-fox-cosmo-1873843814) titled ALL TOP COMICS #7 (SEPT 1947 FOX) COSMO CAT IN 'ANTS IN THE ANTARCTIC!' and the cover of All Top Comics #7[b], an issue for which there is no detailed information at GCD. Is the rest of 'Ants in the Antarctic' in All Top Comics #7[b]? Where is the opening page of 'Cosmo Cat and the Evil Genie'? (In All Top Comics' next issue (#8, November of 1947), it made an abrupt switch from humor to action strips; perhaps this lent to the confusion?)

No. Cosmo Cat starring in "Ants In The Antarctic" is NOT in "All Top Comics 7". Its lone 'Cosmo Cat" story is "The Joker". My own copy of this book also has the first page of "Ants in The Antarctic", as does the copy scanned to DCM (the same exact book as this one). So, given that we all have the same book the scanner must have matched the wrong cover to the wrong coverless book (which is NOT really Cosmo Cat). We are also missing "Cosmo Cat 9". But all the stories for that book are listed, and "Ants in The Antarctic" is not one of them. And none of the stories in THIS book are in #9. So, perhaps Cosmo Cat had a #11, and it is in that one. But no #11 issue is known by anyone. If it is not in that unknown book, it must have been issued in another Fox book, or else was already drawn for #11, and never issued, except for Page 1 used in this book. A very strange mystery, I hope will be solved eventually, by the purchase and scanning of the book containing it. I hope I'll be alive to see it.
