Widescreen curved TV in 1945! But only on "Knockout". Thank you, Percy Clarke and Alfred Taylor.

Knockout was a bit before my time so I’m not familiar with the funny characters, but Bunter is always worth seeking out in any shape or form!
Chock-full of that specifically anarchic and irreverent British children’s humour, this wasn’t bad. Bunter was at his best – “Reserve me a table for six, I’m feeling peckish” – I’m going to use that line next time I visit our local pizza place. (I learned something too – it’s against regulations to ride a tricycle in the river, apparently)
What a bonus having Sexton Blake too – pitched against the dreaded Kwang Chu! Yes, that amazing built-in flatscreen HD television (in 1945 – such vision!)
Joke of the week: “You should take a walk before breakfast every morning”, “But Doctor, I never get up before breakfast!”
