High adventure indeed as Hazel is lured to the far-off Ruritanian land of Betharania where she becomes princess for the day. There's a sinister plot afoot led by the evil Regent determined to usurp the true princess, Terena, and claim the throne for himself. (Why do evil Regents always do that? Shouldn't they be forced to sign a disclaimer before they take up the post: I promise not to plot to usurp the throne - honest - cross my heart and hope to die) What will happen to Hazel as the plot unfolds - will Rod (a decent lad) rescue her? Will the kingdom ever be free? A great value-for-money issue, this one - with three other ripping stories - Gosh!
