Ken Maynard was one of the best movie equestrians of all time. He was a rodeo champion and trick rider for both Buffalo Bill and the Ringling Brothers Wild West shows. He came to Hollywood in 1923 and he quickly became very popular. His horsemanship and rugged good looks made Maynard a major cowboy movie star. Ken was also America's first singing cowboy with Columbia Records.
