| Notes | When I got my copy of Peg's paper I also found a copy of it's companion mag, appropriately entitled 'Peg's Companion'. From the same year, 1928, it seems aimed at the older woman, though the contents are very similar. We have the complete short novel and the continuing serial feature of course. There's columns for cinema chat, beauty secrets (wherein the cream cheese facial is revealed), a handcraft pattern page and of course your fortune told by the 'veiled princess'. 'Man the Betrayer' features in the real-life series and readers letters are given loving attention by none other than Peg's own dear mother. And there's a 100 pound first prize in the cinema competition featured in the centre-spread pages lovingly joined by our dear friend 'Slinky'. Ernesto | |||
