SynopsisGail quits her job as a waitress in a diner owned by Fred due to his womanizing ways. She takes only the money owed her and leaves a note. Reporter Steve gets her a job as companion to the elderly Mrs. Latham. Gail becomes engaged to her employer’s son Steve. Fred sees her photo in the newspaper and contacts her: she’s been charged with stealing money from him but he’ll drop the charges if she marries him. The real culprit was another waitress, Laura, who was jealous. When this comes out, Steve reaffirms his love for Gail.

Maris learns her stepfather didn’t take the money, it was all part of Barty’s scheme. Chad returns, punches Barty, and marries Maris.

However, while he’s away, Leila dates wealthy Anthony and he also asks her to marry him. Kip and Leila break up, but when Leila and Anthony visit Mexico, she learns he never intended to marry her. She’s reduced to working in a sleazy club there, falls ill, and telegraphs Kip for help. Kip flies her back to the USA. When she recovers, she agrees to marry him and return to performing in his club.
