The Silent Three are very lucky to lead such exciting lives. By reading their adventures we too can participate...

I’ve been saving this one for Christmas. What a beautiful opening frame and those vertical-striped uniforms are so slimming! Always a good judge of character, Betty, Peggy and Joan instantly trust the alleged thief Cherry in her quest to find the magic key to Santa’s letterbox (except of course, in England, he is called Father Christmas). Will Cherry find the missing necklace and clear her name? The plot is standard and Christmas is almost irrelevant but you can’t help warming to the characters. Written, I believe, by Horace Boyten and Stewart Pride, and illustrated by Evelyn Flinders.
