She meets Peter on the train but when they arrive at the hotel, employee Steve warns her that Peter is a “two-week Romeo.” Peter and Steve compete for her affections, but Kay later spots Peter romancing another guest and goes home heartbroken. She gets a letter from Peter and meets him at the hotel the following year, expecting a marriage proposal. When he demurs, she slaps him and decides to marry honest Steve. |
