SynopsisHorubis-Atu, the eagle that guards the tombs of the great apes, has become blind and attacks Thoth when he approaches. Anak is struck by the thought that a burst of light might restore the birds sight and, with the spider, Aarook, he devises a way to flash a beam of light from the jewel on the forehead of the Buddha statue into the eagle's eyes. It works, and the eagle releases Thoth, but then dies.
