NotesThis was is a one-off magazine published by Shepherd and Wollheim in the fall of 1936. The venture folded due to lack of financial backing. It features stories by H.P. Lovecraft and August W. Derleth amongst others.

Was this a fanzine? UFP could be United Fan Press. Anyway it has stories by H. P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, etc. Don't pass up on it!

Donald Wollheim is a major figure in the publication of Science Fiction in the 20th century. He would have been in his early 20s when this magazine came out.

In an entry in the online "Encyclopedia of Science Fiction" I learned that this was a sort of "semi-prozine." It was offered for sale but the print run was only two hundred copies. It was the only issue--Woolheim "ran out of money and parted company from Wilson Shepard." It struck me as amusing that a 1977 facsimile reprint was "limited to 750 copies"...almost four times the circulation of the original magazine.
