This TV series was very well known and popular in Germany. But of the 206 episodes, produced between 1958 and 1964, only 61 came on German television in a dubbed German version. The purchasing policy of the German TV stations in the 1960s was very strange, from many U.S. Series were only bought a few episodes. It's nice now, to read a Kookie comic. :-)

Please Note! Alex Toth on this title! Look for the 'Maverick' Plug!

Great to see this - two well told stories ably presented. Sunset Strip was one of my favourite TV shows in the early sixties (and Burke's Law) - I have both series on DVD and I'm embarrassed to say I once owned Kookie & Connie Stevens singing "Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gDT2Xk5-Oo

Some nicely effective Toth art, but really poor visual representations of the actual actors from the show. I’m guessing Toth never saw a single episode or even photos of how the three main characters looked in the series. Pretty distracting for fans of the show, but not such a bad read anyway.
