At least eight points from me for the experience of how highly enjoyable a story can be in spite of me having the impression it's quite badly written. That Gladys is such a mature person but then spontaneously makes angry demands where she's not in a place to do so, that her lover's father falls for her sudden decision that 'money is more important than love' and doesn't notice the comedy acted in front of him - all of that is so impossible, and the characters seem so undeveloped, I love the condensed way of unfolding the plot for a quick, entertaining read. As tacky as it may be, I'd love more of it, it's fantastic in its own way!

Torrence, you are sure finding some interesting corners of CB+. I am visually oriented so that cover fascinated me. It must be chronologically accurate so it fascinates me that both women apparently have trains on the ends of the dresses. They must have had to hold them in their hands when moving about so as not to trip over them. And the guy in the chair is apparently wearing an apron in full evening dress. Is he supposed to be a Mason? /?dlid=37735
