NotesArt credits from JVJ index card attached to online scanned version. It's unclear if this is supposed to indicate Gattuso on pencils and Gutwirth on inks, or a collaboration on pencils by both artists.

Years later, Pearl’s mother dies in an accident and the 18-year-old Pearl returns to live with her father and sister in their small town. SynopsisDoreen is courted by bank clerk Terry and by wealthy Calvin but marries Terry. Doreen’s mother falls ill and the newlyweds can't pay for her treatment. Calvin loans Doreen the money. Terry is arrested when $500 is missing from the bank, and Doreen fears he stole it for her. She goes out with Calvin but he makes improper advances. Terry is cleared of suspicion and released from jail. Doreen confesses the truth about Calvin, and Terry forgives her because he’s also gotten a loan from the bank to pay her aunt’s medical bills.
CreditsInks: Greene? (see notes)
ContentGenre: Romance | Characters: Doreen; Terry Black; Calvin
NotesArt credits from JVJ index card attached to online scanned version. Card also suggests Dan Zolnerowich and "Greene" (unclear which of the numerous artists with this last name), but does not make it clear if these are inkers or collaborators on the pencils (or both). A shop has the name "Dan's Hats" on it in one panel.
