I just noticed that Jerry Robinson cast movie actors in some of these Bat Masterson stories. That's Burl Ives as the mayor in the last story; another issue had William Conrad and an old Western character actor whose name I couldn't recall. I can't get over how well this guy drew! I certainly can't blame him for going into daily panels--surely they were a lot more money for the effort--but comics lost a heckuva draughtsman when Robinson left the field.
