Ben then becomes engaged to Delores on the rebound and Ruthie realizes she loves him. When Delores sees how she feels, she breaks up with Ben so he can marry Ruthie.

Irene and Larry break up, but when Larry is injured during a stunt, he sees that Selma only cares about him as a performer, not a person. Larry goes back to work as a printer and is reunited with Irene.
