It appears the presumed artist's signature on the book spine in the splash panel of " the Devil's Sketchbook" says "DEE", not "LEE".

"Race for Valor" is about racism directed towards a Native American soldier in Korea. Reading it today, the impact is muted by the MUCH-repeated use of the ethnic slur "gook" directed at the enemy. This story isn't "fantastic" at all, which makes its inclusion in this comic a bit off (the text story is also non-fantasy).
