Clara takes a job as governess for widower Tod’s daughter so she can remain at the site until Ken’s body is recovered in the spring, but stays on even afterwards. Tod introduces Clara to his employee Herb and they date, but Herb’s mother disapproves. Tod tells Clara that she needs to stop mourning and get on with her life, as he intends to do; they realize they love each other. |
