Dimineata Copiilor = "The Children's Morning Magazine" Description: Mixed bag for children (Comics, Poems, Short novels, Stories, Songs). This is the 6th issue of the first year of apparition and is one of the two main children magazines which appeared between 1924 - 1948 together with Universul copiilor. This magazine is very alike Universul Copiilor and the chief editor is the same: Mos Nae Batzaria. He started in 1924 at "Dimineata copiilor" and in mid 1936, Batzaria parted with Dimineața and joined its right-wing and nationalist rival, Universul, becoming Universul publisher. He was then appointed editor of "Universul Copiilor" ("Children's Universe"), the Universul youth magazine, which took up his Haplea stories and comics. According to literary critic Gabriel Dimisianu, who was a fan of the magazine in his boyhood, Universul Copiilor was "very good".
By 1930, Nicolae Constantin Batzaria also became known for his genre fiction novels, addressed to a general public and registering much success. Among these were Jertfa Lilianei ("Liliana's Sacrifice"), Răpirea celor două fetițe ("The Kidnapping of the Two Little Girls"), Micul lustragiu ("The Little Shoeshiner") and Ina, fetița prigonita ("Ina, the Persecuted Little Girl"). His main fairy tale collection was published as Povești de aur ("Golden Stories").
