Buddy and Laura fall in love, but Ginger exposes the scheme and Buddy returns to his old ways. He changes his mind though, and decides to straighten up and marry Laura.

Mark's mother calls everyone to her house and introduces them to Mark's fiancee Jan, clearing Lila of any guilt in his accidental death. The others apologize and Crane and Lila will be married.
