NotesA compilation of some of Basil Wolverton's Spacehawk stories that were mainly printed in Target Comics and which feature planetary worlds, space creatures and aliens all masterfully crafted and illustrated in a style that was uniquely his own. Errant page now correctly sequenced!

Wolverton's great art makes all of these stories worth reading again, but it's a shame that Spacehawk eventually discontinued his outer space adventures (replacing them with tales of foiling Axis enemies on the Earth), if only because we didn't get to see Wolverton's hilariously ugly aliens any more. Also, Spacehawk's assistant is named "Dork" (snicker).

I didn't even know we had this great combination, and my belated thanks to melbee for putting it together. Shame we never get to learn the secret of who or what Spacehawk is, but the excitement and beauty of Wolverton's artwork are enough for me. If I could I'd give it two hundred out of ten!
