I wrote Ken Bald later in the 1960s and he sent me 2 Dr. Kildare originals.

Terrific story, pacing and graphics - my random 12 choice today. It brought back loads of memories - Dr Kildare was compulsory viewing in our house when I was kid due to my mother. Strange to think the creator was western-writer Max Brand, killed during the advance on Cassino in 1944 - sad that he never knew of the Kildare's huge success in the sixties.
