When a childhood friend turned burlesque star is murdered Rue-Morgue style, Mike beats a confession out of the murderer before allowing the gorilla to finish the job.
Mike Hammer -- judge and jury. Wotta man!

Front cover -- Wow, look at him detect that crime! That is one first-class private investigator. How'd he ever figure out the gorilla was the perp? You can't fault him for lack of confidence either, threatening to assault the ape in hand-to-hand combat. Yeah man, you throw the fear of MIKE into that monkey!
