Tom realizes he’s been tricked. Bob learns the truth and breaks up with Joan. Joan confesses everything and since Bob’s company will get the contract anyway because Tom’s company cuts corners, Bob takes Joan back.

Cathy gets producer Max to pretend to hire Mark as an understudy, but when the lead actor is injured, Max refuses to let Mark go on and explains Cathy's deception. Mark leaves. Cathy confesses to Martha and Martha reunites her with Mark.
