A wonderful piece of what is now retro-futurism, with Dan DeCarlo at the pen!

Jetta is sooooo obscure I in love with her. I also like the levels of derivation. Jetta is equal parts Archie and sf but is a female protagonist which is rare in comic books period but especially rare in the Golden Age. I really can't think of another character like her.

"Music from afar" is apparently by Fred Eng, according to the September 8, 013 entry of the blog "Chinese American Eyes." On the right edge of the red platform the girls are standing on, you can see his signature, "ENG." Also, the the original art for the Zoomer story, "Time Out for Trouble," was sold on Heritage Auctions, where it was attributed to Fred Eng.

Writing credit by Martin O'Hearn (at http://martinohearn.blogspot.com/2019/11/jetta-by-dan-decarlo-but-not-exclusively.html ) This story came up for auction at heritage. After consultation with two artists who have expertise in Dan decarlos work we learned that Dan did no work on the last two issues of this series and Fred eng did pencils and inks. There is no evidence that dan DeCarlo did any of the work associated with this story. The artists who flagged this were bill Morrison and dan parent.
