SynopsisThe Eye and K-9 tie up Downwind in the hold of a target ship that is to be used for practice bombing. Tepid Fahrenheit, a former associate of the Eye, learns of the plot and tells Joy. Joy breaks up the bombing formation then lands her plane in the water and saves Downwind. Later Tepid and Downwind capture the Eye and K-9. After getting Jack and Joy together, Downwind realizes he loves Joy. Trying to take his mind off his lost love, Downwind goes into the plane salvage business.

Text StoryOne Army Dog (2 pages)
SynopsisSome American forces are pinned down by Japs. Commando the Army dog thwarts a Japanese attempt to break though. U.S. tanks arrive. When Japs artillery knocks out the tanks, Commando is cut free of his leash by shrapnel, and he goes behind enemy lines, single-handedly taking out the Jap artillery crew. This wins him praise from G.I.s, but Jim states that Commando is just one Army dog, like all the others.
