   By The Australian Panther
I think, in retrospect, that my Grandfather was a closet comics fan. That thought would simply never have occurred to me when I was very young. Whenever I visited him there were always magazines and papers around with comic strips in them, which strangely enough, I always used to be able to ferret out. Tiger Tim papers were one of the things I was introduced to there. Perhaps dating back to my Mother's childhood. Always liked the art but the stories never grabbed me at all. The characters were something of an institution in the UK for many years I think.
