Worth highlighting this for the concept of stand-ups – still a common gift in the sixties. I was addicted to them and strengthened them with squares of card sliced midway and inserted at the bottom to form a cross-base. I once had a Beatles stand-up set that included a separate stand-up of Ringo’s drums. I even made my own stand-ups by cutting out images from comics – so I had stand-ups of the Spider, Robot Archie and the rest. Page 8 – did you collect your free swastika charm from Bluebird Girls Paper – ‘there’s sure to be a big demand for these’?
