Carole decided to marry the jealous and domineering Rick on the rebound. Alan is badly injured in an auto accident on the day of Carole’s wedding, and she learns he had been diagnosed with cancer when they were married and wanted to spare her the agony of watching him die. He’s cured now, and Carole realizes Alan is the only man she ever loved.
