Janet, who has her eye on Cal herself, brings him to the theatre and exposes Diane’s true occupation. Cal breaks up with her. Cal’s mother and father are reunited and explain to him that it wasn’t his mother’s fault that she left. Cal and Diane reconcile.

Jack punches Cliff and reveals the truth: he’s really Cliff, and the false Cliff is his mechanic Jack. So the real Cliff and Gwen can now be married.
