But on learning Logan has no intention of using Fury for breeding-- he just wants to SHOOT him-- they let the horse go free.

But Fury proves elusive, and Plume's father warns him that alone, he may be the target of white men, and if killed it could lead to a war. Sure enough, a couple of angry cowboys take shots at him, wounding him and scaring off his horse. But Fury arrives and shows Plume a hidden watering hole known only the the wild horses, saving his life. In return, Eagle Plume considers Fury his "brother" and gives up the hunt.

SynopsisBlack Fury, king of the wild herd, takes great pride in his young offspring. But the colt has violent tendencies, attacking his mother, other horses, and finally challenging Fury for leadership of the herd. When the Colt is injured falling against a rock in a stream, Fury is concerned. But after they both emerge safely from the water, Fury lets it be known that it's too late for forgiveness-- and his "son" is BANISHED from the herd.
