I helped contribute to that back in the day and talked to Howard several times on the phone in conjunction with it.  That book is my most-used research tool for Golden Age comics.  Ever.

This is simply amazing. It answered alot of my questions regard the last printed solo Capt. Marvel Jr and Mary Marvel stories.

I was also surprised to see the flutuating page counts on Fawcett's titles from the late 1940's till the end in early 1954 - some months 52 some months 36.

The Keltner Index is just great but it is far from complete and still has some errors. So does anybody know if someone perhaps here from the GAC Messageboard is working on an update ?

The GCD (at comics.org) is probably the closest that I know about.  It's not an easy-to-skim series of tables, but perhaps with time they'll consider it.

I believe there were plans for an update but Howard Keltner died before they were finished.
