Alan Fraser artwork.

What a treat to find such a quantity of Alan Fraser's artwork in the recent uploads of All Fun Comics, All Star Comics, and Comic Capers!!  He had such a distinctive style, instantly recognisable though simply and somewhat crudely drawn. However, his down-to-earth and sometimes off-the-wall humour shines through brilliantly, and the zany artwork never fails to raise a smile from the very first panel! I don't think that there has been much written about Alan Fraser, -correct me if I'm wrong- but I should be very grateful if anyone out there can supply any information about this comic artist.  He seems to me to be one of the relatively unknown and unsung comic stalwarts of the mid to late forties.  My grateful thanks to Hoover/Paw Broon for these uploads... I hope there will be even more to follow...   :)

There is very little info at www.comics.org about him. If you can recognize his work it would be great if you would index any of the books here at the GCD. The goal of GCD is to give credit where credit is overdue. We want to index every comic ever printed. It is a tremendous research resource.
