Oh, BTW JVJ, if you have more information about the book you mentioned, do tell.
Is it a book concentrating specifically on pre-code horror?
I'm hoping that it's either an in-depth history or something like the planned Terrology guide that George Suarez talked about in Tales Too Terrible to Tell that never came to fruition (MUCH to my chagrin - I'd have gladly paid $200 for the finished volume).

You KNOW you're talking to a guy with a COMPLETE Atlas collection, don't you, Astrp3? So keep it mellow :P
But, here's a true confession that will definitely "shock" a lot of people: I don't READ the comics! Unless the art is superb, I don't bother because, like you, 99% of the time the story is a disappointment. With a really great art job, the story is likely to have been an incentive for the artist to invest more effort, so I'll read a well-drawn or inventive story to see if it repays the effort.

As for Greg's book, I am not allowed to say anything more about it. Sorry. In fact, if you reread my previous comment, I didn't say anything at all about the book - which was my agreement with Greg. But I'm allowed to say things about YOU. And I think YOU will like it. IF it gets published it will probably be through Fantagraphics, so watch their "coming items" section to see if it gets scheduled.

Will try to get the first 20 horror books on your list off to Geo today.

Peace, Jim (|:{>

Great job Geo and Jon!

I'm sure all the horror fans out there certainly appreciate your work.

I hope Astrp3 will donate the second half of his offering.
While the Postage Fund may be flush now it will soon be empty again once the next set of packages go out sooner or later.

The ones (3) I had are all scanned and posted.  Do understand with borrowed books, I at least, tend to scan them all first and hold off on editing so I can return them ASAP to Jim.  Right now I have 5 comics left to scan and an additional 13 to edit.

Sometimes editing is more convenient than scanning so I do edit some before all are scanned, and I do send some raw scans to others to edit.

I'm looking forward to them as well ubantuban but there's lots to keep you busy while you are waiting!

I'm also very curious if Astrp3 ever sent Jim the second half of his original offering towards the postage on this side project to the giant JVJ Project?

Absolutely no need to apologize for anything Geo.  Your health should always come first.  Scans can wait.
I hope the gang appreciates the effort you've made to get these scans to us.  I sure do!

Very nice, thanks. I prefer the super hero books but with the huge selection on this site, I'm finding I'm enjoying the horror stories as well. I've delved into some of the adventure and detective genre as well. Still haven't gotten around to reading any of the romance onces yet... :-\
