Is the Comic series THE THING published by Charlton Comics Public Domain?...I found them on another website and was curious if anybody has knowledge as to their status.

All I know of THE THING (not the Marvel monster hero of the FF) is that the horror stories were one-shots and unrelated, and that Fredrik Wertham cited one story . That was my first knowledge of the "comic".
