Increased size from 12 to 16 pages with paper restrictions easing after the war.

This issue features the start of a new Dixon Hawke mystery when the great detective squares off against the villainous Black Slink (not to be confused with the 4 pager we have on site of the other Black Slink where he is a costumed hero).  Nice, atmospheric illo. on page 3.
