Good scans. The 3D effects work well with the glasses.
Unfortunately the original comic was done on the cheap.
I don't think there are anymore than three levels throughout and some panels only have two levels. Still interesting to see it and compare with other titles from other publishers.

It's certainly not the worst 3D I've seen from that era; at least it works (other than a couple shots where they dropped one color).  And I would rather see competent but slightly dull 3D than ambitious but unreadable, which happened a few times.  Best is competent and ambitious, which the St. Johns often managed.
