Has anybody checked out the new Content Aware Mode for the Spot Healing Brush in Photoshop CS5. It's FREAKING MAGIC! Draw a line over a rip in a comic cover and it makes it vanish to the point of recreating the color dot pattern. Remove prices and writing with ease.

This is a wake-up notice to comic scan restorers - you need to get a new tool into your arsenal ASAP.

FREAKING MAGIC!!! I just removed the painted word "Life" from a cover of a 1909 issue of Life Magazine in 2 minutes. FREAKING MAGIC!!!

Check it out. You won't regret it.

You won't regret it. It's quickly become my absolute most favorite tool in Photoshop. It's fantastic for cleaning up edges, too. Just drag a marquee around a ragged edge and draw the healing brush down the jagged part. Voila! A beautiful clean edge. So many uses, and I'm still discovering how to really use it.

Clone tool, with a fine setting, does it as well. Let's not redo what is; let's preserve it "as is"
