But, in all honesty, there are plenty of other sites that are a much better match for such efforts. When you focus on old comics, new amateur efforts might not be the favorite thing of the members. For instance, it's not something I would pay much attention to, but others might get more mileage out of them.

I agree Jim. We can not be all things to all people. The new GAC will be up eventually and then we will see what expansions Janus has up his sleeve.

I agree. At first thought it might seem like a good idea, but I think opening the site to all these other venues would render it obsolete for it's initial purpose. Remember when MTV had music videos? Then they expanded to behind the scenes shows and that started shows related to music and now there are hardly any videos on it at all.

I think we could have it, but that it would have to be accessible on a different menu so that those who were not interested would not have it in their general forum feeds.

No I don't think so....I believe it will only cause trouble and arguments when someone feels offended. Does it apply to what we do here? Do we need it here? Is it worth it? I say nope.

I think it would be great to see users post their artistic renditions of PD characters and covers.  Fan fiction is great as well but I don't know how many would be interested.  I would be, but I think having fan fiction or stories in print format would have a better audience.   

I fail to see how anyone would "be offended" by having either item posted.  After all, these are PUBLIC DOMAIN comic books, fanzines, magazines, newspapers and the like.
