A bit of a rarity this time with Super Thriller Comics # 21.  Although I've previously added other issues of the title to the site, and been a fan of Ace Hart since I was a wee boy, I've never laid eyes on this issue.  You can find it here:-

With thanks to Kracalactaka for the edits.

In the Dutch language section, I've made a new heading for Raka, a Dutch lilliput.  We already had #9 and I've found and added #3 - in a slightly different format, and #8.
You can find them here:-

For the Sexton Blake fans out there, this is a compilation of a '50's Blake strip in Portuguese from the pages of Cavaleiro Andante.  Art by Roland Davies:-

I've been excavating, again.  Delving around in odd, foreign blogs etc. The Blake strip above came from the same site as this Portuguese Sherlock Holmes strip.  Art by Fernando Bento:-

I just need a bit of time to mine some more stories.  I've the feeling I've been on this site before but I probably lost the bookmark when my pc gave up the ghost.

A new section today in the French section, this is for 3 issues of Aventures de Pecos Bill, early to mid '50's,   I've had to attribute these to "unknown" as I lost my notes of where these and other scans came from, and I've been holding off posting them thinking I might turn up the notes. So, apologies all round and if anyone can tell me whose scans these are, I'll change the attribution :-

Hi Pawn
Seems to be from http://bdvintagerares.blogspot.fr/2016/01/pecos-bill.html  ;)
I made it  :)
Quantum, Bobo and Aven did scans of issues 14 & 15 ( http://emulebdz.p1g1.org/index.php?showtopic=6642&hl=pecos+bill )
a gift from Dominique Mariez for issue 45
Pecos Bill (french first serie) ran for 8 years (1950-1957), adaptation of an italian comic created in 1949 by Guido Martina (s) drawn by Pier Luigi De Vita, Rafaele Paparella and also D'Ami, Canale and Dino Battaglia.
Best regards from France

You're a lifesaver Starman.  Thanks, and I hope all our members and readers will visit your excellent site 8)
I have to add that I was reading your site's entry on Cobra and hervhe has posted an explanation of the history of the title that explains the connections very well.  I knew that Cobra and Naja were based on Sadik but thanks to hervhe I now have the Italian and French publishing history.  Also some info on more recent appearances which I knew nothing about.
If anyone fancies a look at this fascinating series - only a tiny part of French and Italian comics - use this link:-
https://bdvintagerares.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/cobra.html
Mind you, of all the great French/Italian villains, I prefer Kriminal ;D

A short story from the pages of Knockout Fun Book 1947.  I can find no other mention or info. on The Flying Beetle, so, if any of you can help, that would be great.

Additions to the French section today with numbers 4 -10 of Atome Kid from 1956.  We already had #1, 2, 3 and Spanish language reprints.  I must have downloaded these a fair time ago and found them on a hard drive. Unfortunately I can't remember where they came from.
http://comicbookplus.com/?cid=2918

Just to add, they'll be available later. I forgot about Whiz Bang Wednesday, again, OOOOOPS.

Another new section, this time in compilations.  A few members here suggested we host some of the Spanish language compilations from the great resource which is https://misinolvidablestebeos.blogspot.co.uk/
I've been reading through their listings and have found some great stuff that we can host here.  All 1950's or earlier.
With thanks to all the scanners involved.
You can find the first 2 entries here:-

El Corsario Azul looks pretty good... was that originally a Spanish language newspaper strip?

Hi Dl, no, it was originally a 12 issue comic by Ediciones Cliper in 1949. But to an extent, you're right because there were subsequently additional stories in El Coyote - (50's) and these were full page b&w strips which could easily have been mistaken for a newspaper strip. These are the pages collected in this compilation.
There's info (in Spanish) here:-

Quite a lot of obscure but, hopefully, interesting books.  The last 2 of the 4 issue Steve Drake Dutch beeldverhaal.  These are the ciggy packet sized comics with 1 illo per page you can find #3 & 4 here:-
http://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3242
To complement the Spanish issues of Superhombre we now have 9 issues of the Dutch reprints as I have added another 7 issues.  You can find them here:-
http://comicbookplus.com/?cid=2372
And Collins Boys' Annual from the mid '50's.  This annual features a story by David Stephen, naturalist and, many years ago, a close friend of my dad and I was named after Mr. Stephen.  More interesting to the rest of you will be the illustrators as they include Nat Brand/Len Fullerton.  Well worth a look. You can find it here:-
