You might want a read at this, although the English is execrable - close to impossible - but the ref. to ACE is intriguing, indeed.  I make no further comment as we don't want any problems.

Read the information from Decay. I do not know what the UK or French laws may be but in the US expired copyrights can not be renewed PERIOD. Even "It's a Wonderful Life" had to use a copyright on the soundtrack because the movie had gone into PD. So we have nothing to worry about in the US. Probably not in UK or France either.
