Very silly question but I believe you are on a dedicated box has anyone tried switching it off and on again? It could just be the web server software has a problem But guess you have done that

I'm ignorant of all this kind of thing but I believe that was what was done..
DCM is back UP!   ;D

Zog (a fellow admin) now knows what to do should we see the same symptoms again.

Mark, thanks again for letting us update here.  If ever needed you are more than welcome to do the same on DCM's forum.

Hi Gang,
DCM is down again.  Yet another HD failure of our server.   >:(
Speed and HD upgrades are being made.

ETA on when we will be back is unknown for now.  When I get more news I will let people know.

I am guessing that people have checked that the machine itself is not the culprit and trashing them? But coincidences do happen, and I guess you have just been damn unlucky.

Hi Mark,
Yeah, we thought the same and have ordered a whole new server, HD and speed upgrade.  We've also upgraded our storage capacity which was getting low anyways.  Next step is installing software, setting it up and copying over the site, etc.  No eta on when we will be back but we have taken the first step.

Again, a huge thank-you to you Mark for letting us keep in touch here.  We will be setting up a temporary forum very soon which will come up with our URL.

And yes, it appears we went back live sometime while I was asleep.  What a pleasant way to start the day!

Excellent news and a really fast rebuild I am really impressed!!

But also Tilliban's prophecies were soon proved right! Eerily so. I for one will be calling him Mr Tilliban Sir from now onwards

The forum needed a tweak.
It's now running again.

The move to the new server is on going so there might be the odd outage like this for the next little while.

Hi Gang,
It's been a long time since I needed to update here.  A nice ride while it lasted.

Unfortunately DCM is currently experiencing a server problem. We've been in contact with our provider and are working towards a fix.   The Facebook page is still up for updates as well.

I'm told All files are safe.

We're taken the downtime to do an upgrade.  Hopefully we will be back up ASAP.
